Truckstop Jubilee
By Lonnie Flemmer
Reprobate/SESAC
Coffee really tasted lousy, but the refills were free
Just outside of Nowhere, Oklahoma
At the Truckstop Jubilee
Caught my waitress looking, looking like she wanted me
Then she asked me, "Hey, hon, are you hungry"
I said, "Yes ma'am, but food ain't what I need"
Then she raised her arm
Brushed it across her breast
Un-did the top, button on her dress
Sat in my booth and stroked my knee
Her way of way of saying howdy
At the Truckstop Jubilee
Scored a teener from a tweaker, cause I was fading fast
Laid out a line in the cleanest shit-house stall
Before I gave my brain a blast
Hurried back to ask her, baby "When do you get off?"
She said, "All the time, but that ain't really enough"
Then she raised her arm
Brushed it across her breast
Un-did the next two buttons on her dress
Didn't say a word, she just winked at me
Feeling righteous
At the Truckstop Jubilee
So I popped the age-old question, "Baby, your place or mine?"
She said, "I never did it, in a sleeper before"
I said, "Girlfriend, you're lying"
Morning come, and we had done, what we set out to do
Bleary-eyed, we hugged good-bye
Then she told me, "I like you"
Then she raised her arm
To pull up her dress
And buttoned the buttons to cover up her breast
Caught the last kiss she threw to me
Just outside of Nowhere, Oklahoma
Just outside of Nowhere, Oklahoma
Just outside of Nowhere, Oklahoma
At the Truckstop Jubilee
